Bay Area Synchro (BAY) Campbell, Calif
We are a club based in the South Bay San Jose area of Northern California. We are a young team developed in 2016 to serve our population with disabilities and those under represented. We train ages 6yrs and older with novice and intermediate levels.
We also offer Masters novice training as well as recreational and camp introduction to artistic swimming. We are a small team with a 15 swimmer capacity. Currently we have 9 swimmers ages 7 to 17yrs old. Most of swimmers have physical and/or intellectual disabilities.
Our competiting swimmers have all earned gold, silver and bronze medals and have placed well amongst the 12 Northern California clubs which offer novice/intermediate teams.
We are the only team to travel nationally and internationally with our Novice and Intermediate swimmers to competitions and exhibitions. We are a recognized training club under our Organization, Artistic Swim AWD on the USA Paralympic Committee (Team USA) website as a training team for future Paralympic Games.
Not only do we have a solid commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, we are collectively the diverse voices for our team and the representation of those globally in our sport. We are dedicated to long term athlete development and we have a staff of passionate coaches who are a growing part of our volunteer staff. We are a volunteer based team and all our resources are devoted to the development of our athletes and their success in this sport. We invest in our athletes equitably and we leave NO swimmer behind.
